Deborah Gottesman, MBA, PEng, LC
Deborah founded Gottesman Associates to provide intelligent lighting solutions that address all facets of light. Her approach is informed by the wide-ranging roles that she has held within engineering, design, manufacturing and educational settings. It is uniquely focused on balancing aesthetics, energy, budget, functionality and productivity, always driven by client priorities.
Deborah has received prestigious design awards, been published in leading trade magazines, and has taught lighting to design and sales professionals alike. She also developed the explanatory material for the lighting section in the 2011 National Energy Code of Canada for Buildings (NECB).
A graduate of electrical engineering science (UWO 1986), Deborah also earned her MBA with distinction in Real Property from the Schulich School of Business (1996). She is Lighting Certified by the NCQLP. Deborah is past president of the Illuminating Engineering Society (IESNA) - Toronto section, past board and committee member at various levels of IESNA and past chair of Program Committee for IESNA Canadian Regional Conference.
